Walk Description

Walking across a land where only peat cutters and foresters tread.  Mixed terrain, mainly boggy, some forest walking and along deep grassy fire breaks, crossing narrow streams.  You may even get to hear the tale of the infamous robber Cushy Glen.  Amazing views of Castlerock and Downhill Demesne and on a clear day views of Donegal, the Sperrins and Scotland.

What some of last year’s walkers thought

Very challenging.  Great event and well catered for. Thank you! (age 31-60)

Absolutely fabulous day.  Our leader was great and we loved it.  Will be back next year! Job well done. (age 31-60)

Very enjoyable days walk, great group of walkers and 2 excellent group leaders. (age 31-60)

A bit longer than I thought.  Fine but bog was challenging. (age 61+)

Was 12 miles long, took over 6 hours + lunch stop.  Very good walk with varied terrain.  But I found the pace difficult to keep up with.  Liam was a good leader but set a fast pace (for me.) (age 61+)
